The Club Pool Summer League
The Club Pool Summer League officially got underway this weekend, bringing together players of all skill levels for a season of competitive and social pool.
More than 40 members participated in the opening round, with several closely contested matches keeping spectators entertained throughout the evening. Returning champion James Carter started his title defense with a convincing victory, while newcomer Ryan Mitchell impressed members by securing an upset win against a higher-ranked opponent.
Club President Sarah Thompson welcomed participants and highlighted the growing popularity of the league.
"Our pool community continues to expand every year. It's fantastic to see both experienced players and new members coming together to enjoy the sport and support one another," she said.
In addition to league matches, the club announced a series of monthly tournaments, coaching sessions for beginners, and special family-friendly events scheduled throughout the summer.
The evening concluded with a social gathering in the clubhouse, where members discussed match highlights and looked ahead to the upcoming fixtures.
The next round of league matches is scheduled for Friday evening, with players eager to build momentum early in the season. Members and guests are encouraged to attend and support their favorite competitors.
