Snooker & Billiards Ireland have just produced the new SBI calendar of events to hold competitive Snooker & Billiards events in the Republic of Ireland for the 2025-2026 Season. It is going to be another exciting year of Snooker & Billiards with so many events in all categories and age levels.
SBI hold a one day Intro Level seminar for member who would like to start coaching and become a SBI Intro level Coach. We also hold a 2 day advanced course for our members to become a SBI Level 1 coach.
All coaches must keep their yearly SBI membership up to date to keep your Accreditation active otherwise you lose your Accreditation. You must attend child protection safeguarding course and be Garda Vetted every year. You can only attend the Level 1 course if you have completed the Intro Level Course. Only Current SBI members will be allowed to register for a Coaching Course. All courses are approved by Sport Ireland Coaching and delivered at SBI HQ in Carlow

Sport Ireland's three safeguarding levels of training in Child Welfare and Protection.
All the courses will be given by our National Coach PJ Nolan and be approved by Sport Ireland Coaching who governs all Coaching in the Republic of Ireland. Each coach will bring home a CD with the files from the Course and will become a useful tool in helping the coach to train his players.
INTRO LEVEL: The one day Intro Level Course for members who want to start coaching within their local clubs. The course covers everything in the approved coaching syllabus featuring Playing Techniques, Role of Coaches, Training Routines plus the Rules of the Game.
LEVEL 1: The two day Level 1 Course is held on a Saturday and Sunday on the same weekend and is designed for members who want to improve their coaching skills featuring Techniques, Role of the Coach and designing training routines for the advanced player. There is a written exam on day 2.

The Cost of attending an SBI Intro Level Course is €25.00 which includes Tea / Coffee & Sandwich. The Level 1 Course is €30.00 and this includes Tea / Coffee & Sandwich on both days of the course. All payments are done on line.
