RIBSA Ladies Snooker Coaching Day
The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association will be hosting a free Ladies Snooker Coaching Day in Newbridge CYMS on Saturday 14th of March with our National Coach PJ Nolan.

The National RIBSA Under 14 Snooker Championship will be held in the Darcy McGees Spawell Snooker Club in Dublin on Saturday the 14th of March.You can now text your entry to RIBSA on 085 2428701. This is a text number only and you must include your name, club and event you want to enter.
Intermediate Billiards – Perpetual Shield
The final of the Intermediate Perpetual Shield was played today. Brendan Devlin emerged the winner on the day, beating Robert McCrum in the final. But it was Liam Byrne who emerged the overall winner on the rankings with 690 points. Brendan came in second with 530 points. Well done to all!
Bulman Wins U-14 Event 3
Ross Bulman from Youghal CYMS won the 3rd RIBSA Under 14 Snooker Ranking event of the season in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow on Saturday the 28th of February.
Murray Wins Senior Billiards Event 6
Aidan Murray from Wicklow wins the 6th RIBSA Senior Billiards event of the season in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club on Sunday. In the final Aidan beat Rodney Goggins from the 147club in Wexford to win his second in a row. Well done Aidan. The format was a timed event, all rounds being played to 90 minutes.
Devenney Wins North West Open
The North West Open was held this Sunday the 22nd February 2015. There was an excellent entry of 30 players taking part on the day from both sides of the border. Some of the notable first round dropouts were Benny O Brien (seeded 8) and Ronan Whyte, all first round losers move to the Plate competition.
Jim Leacy elected as HIBSF Chairman
At this week’s HIBSF Annual General Meeting in England on the 20th February. Jim Leacy from the Republic Of Ireland was elected as HIBSF Chairman at the AGM having received the full support of all member countries for the position.
Draw for Cloths for Registered Clubs
The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association has announced today that they will be holding a draw for two Strachan 6811 cloths. All Clubs who Register with RIBSA before the 31st of March 2015 will be entered into this draw.

Final Day of the Training Camps with PJ
The final day of the two day RIBSA training camp with National Coach PJ Nolan was held on the 16th of February for the players who will represent the Republic Of Ireland in the 2015 EBSA Under 21 & Team Snooker Championships in Malta which will be held from the 21st March to the 1st of April.
Matic Wins Masters Ranking No.5
Alen Matic won the 5th RIBSA Masters event of the season in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow. In the final he beat Q Club Wicklow player Keith Sheldreck in a dramatic final frame that went to the final black ball game only to see Alen pot the black to win the title to 3 frames to 2.
Judge Wins RIBSA Senior Event No.5
Michael Judge from the QClub in Wicklow won the RIBSA Senior Ranking ‘ The RIBSA Masters ‘ in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow when he beat Rodney Goggins from the 147Club in Wexford 4 frames to 3 in a high quality final.
