Myers wins Timmy Murphy Memorial Cup
The Timmy Murphy Memorial handicap tournament was played at Carlow on Sunday, 5th of November 2017. After a day’s play, which saw many interesting games and several surprise results, the trophy went to Lloyd Myers (AOH Cork), a fitting reward for the consistently high standard of play he showed throughout the day and a fitting result in that the magnificent AOH Cork sponsored memorial trophy returned to Cork in the hands of one of its members.
Snooker Legends Irish Masters No. 2 Qualifier Carlow

Colvin wins Intermediate Event 2 – Darcy McGees
Colvin O Brien from the Ivy Rooms SC in Carlow won the first RIBSA Snooker Intermediate ranking event of the season on Saturday the 4th of November in Darcy McGees Snooker Club, Spawell in Dublin.
Morris wins Nenagh Open

Forde win Munster Intermediate
David Forde from AOH Cork won the first Munster Council Intermediate tournament of the season in Douglas Snooker Club in Cork on the 30th of October. In the final he beat fast improving young Sean Walsh from Crucible SC 3 frames to 1 in an exciting final.
World Billiards: Live Streaming
World Billiards Limited has announced that the long format event at the 2017 LITEtask World Billiards Championship will be streamed from the quarter-finals stage onwards in the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds in England.
RIBSA Training Camp 1 – IBSF Qatar
Our National Coach PJ Nolan held his first of two planned IBSF Snooker Training Camps on Sunday the 29th of October. The RIBSA camps are to help prepare the players for the 2017 IBSF World Billiards & Snooker Championship which will be held in Qatar from the 17th – 27th of November.

The second RIBSA Senior ranking event” The Hicksons Centra Open” was played on Saturday the 21st of October in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club, Carlow. The four semi-finalists remaining are Robert Murphy from Q Club Wicklow playing Greg Casey Crucible SC and Davy Morris Kilkenny Shed playing TJ Dowling Terry Rogers SC.
