Munster & All Ireland Club Championships
A message from Tournament Director Connie O Sullivan. I spoke with the Glen Eagle Hotel today. We would need to be in level 2 in order to host the Munster and All Ireland Snooker Club championships, and from any information we can get, there’s no way we will be in level 2 in January, so it is with regret that I have made the decision to cancel the championships in January 2020.

Hill v Wenbo to decide a place in Berlin
AARON Hill was in action this morning in the BetVictor German Masters qualifiers in the first round 5 -2 victory over against WST world ranked number 94 Billy Joe Castle from England at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keyes, setting up a meeting Liang Wenbo who defeated Ken Doherty 5-2 in their match later Wednesday afternoon.

Ireland’s Michael Judge is through to the 2020 ROKIT Phones World Seniors Snooker Championship Semi Final at the Crucible in Sheffield following a fantastic victory over the 1985 World Champion Denis Taylor who he defeated by four frames to one in their Last 16 Match yesterday and today he followed that up with a fantastic 4-1 quarter final win over Wayne Cooper.

Player Grant Scheme
SBI are delighted to announce they have decided to set-up a new “Player Grant Scheme” to assist our members who qualify for the World Snooker Tour. This grant will be paid to players who receive their tour cards for the first time only. Aaron Hill will be the first recipient of this grant and Snooker & Billiards Ireland would like to take this opportunity to congratulate him and wish him well in his future professional career.
